How to Import Your Files into Noteshelf
Importing files into Xodo is a straightforward process. There are two ways to import files: through the Control Panel or from within the app.
Method 1: Importing via Control Panel
- If you have just downloaded the file, it might appear in your Control Panel. To access the Control Panel, swipe down from the top of your screen to reveal the notifications panel.
- Look for the download notification related to the file you want to import.
- Tap on the download notification to open it.
- In the options that appear, select “Open With” and choose “Noteshelf”
- If the file download notification does not appear in the Control Panel, you can manually locate the file. Go to the “My Files” app and navigate to the “Downloads” folder.
- Find the downloaded file and tap on it.
- A pop-up will appear with the option “Open With.” Tap on it.
- From the list of options, select “Noteshelf” to import the file into Noteshelf.
- If the pop-up does not appear, you can long-press the document, then tap on “More” located at the bottom left corner under the three dots (…) icon.
- Click on “Open With” and select “Noteshelf.”
Method 2: Importing from Within the App
- Locate the Noteshelf on your device and open it.
- Click on the plus (+) icon on the first row.
- Click “Import Document”
- Browse for the file you need.
- Once you locate your file, tap on it to import it into Noteshelf.
Method 3: Importing from the Files App (Apple)
- Locate the file you downloaded in the Files app.
- Long-press on the file to bring up the options menu.
- Tap on “Share” from the menu.
- Look for the “Open in Noteshelf” option. If it doesn’t appear, tap on “More” or “Edit Actions.”
- Click on the “Import” button to complete the import process.
How to Use Hyperlinks
Noteshelf offers a seamless experience for utilizing hyperlinks and annotations simultaneously, showcasing its remarkable versatility. There are two methods to access hyperlinks within the app.
Method 1: Read-Only Mode
- Open the Noteshelf app and tap on the desired document.
- In the top right corner, click on the three vertical dots to access the options menu.
- Make sure that hyperlinks are turned on in the settings.
- If you prefer to use your stylus for both writing and tapping hyperlinks, click on the icon with a crossed pen in a circle from the middle of the toolbar.
- While in this mode, use your stylus to interact with the hyperlinks without creating any unwanted marks.
- To exit this mode and return to regular writing mode, simply click on the pen or highlighter icon.
Method 2: Using Reading and Writing Mode Simultaneously
- Open the Noteshelf app and tap on the desired document.
- In the top right corner, click on the three vertical dots to access the options menu.
- Make sure that hyperlinks are turned on in the settings.
- Noteshelf automatically switches to reading mode when you tap with your fingers. You can still use your stylus to annotate without having to click on anything. Tap on the hyperlinks to navigate to different sections within the document.
Important: If you use your stylus to tap on the hyperlinks, while the hyperlinks still work, the stylus will leave a mark behind in that spot. If you want to use your stylus to tap on the screen without leaving marks, please use method 1.
How to Change the Cover of your Planner/Notebook/Journal
- Open Noteshelf.
- Long-press on the document. Select “Change Cover” from the menu.
- Click “Custom” from the options.
- Click on the blank image icon on the right.
- Select the cover style that suits your preference.
- If you want your cover as it is in the original file your downloaded, select “No Band.”
- Click on “Gallery”
- Select the image you desire. If you want to adjust it, now is the time: pinch the image to adjust it.
- Click “Create Cover.”
How to Add Stickers to Your Planner/Notebook/Journal
- Open the Noteshelf app.
- Open the document to which you want to add stickers.
- In the top right corner, click on the plus (+) icon
- Select “Images”
- Select “Photo”
- Browse until you find the sticker you want.
- Click on the sticker to add it to the document
- Place the sticker where you want it and resize it with either your fingers or by using the stylus on the highlighted corners.
